The change was deployed successfully. All maintenance is completed.
We have an urgent need to roll back one small part of the last major upgrade done last week.
This rollback will make no change to external access to the WHOIS database, either for queries or updates. It corrects a regression issue affecting only AFRINIC staff internally.
However the change does require the production, external services to be restarted.
Query nodes will be done as a rolling change, taken out of service one by ones, and so will not create any interruption in service at all.
The update master node will have an outage of 2 or 3 minutes, which we believe should not be effectively noticeable.
Nevertheless apologies for any inconvenience.
(This deployment will occur within the next 20 minutes.)
